Integrated pest management, one step at a time

Four steps, in order. A step doesn't start until the one before it has told us something.

Step 1

Look: inspect and identify

We start outside: the foundation, the vents, the gutters, anything damp. Then we go inside with a flashlight, under the sinks and along the baseboards. We name the pest before we name a plan.

  • A photo of every gap or damp spot we find

  • The pest's name, and why it is there

  • Where you saw it, and when

Step 2

Close: remove the way in and the reason

A pest needs a way in, food and water. We close what we can with door sweeps, steel mesh, vent screens and sealant, and we tell you what to change, such as a leaking hose bib or firewood stacked against the siding.

  • Sealing is quoted on its own line

  • Moisture we find but don't fix, we explain in writing

  • Carpentry beyond a patch is a referral

Step 3

Watch: monitor and write it down

Monitors go where we saw activity, and we check them on a schedule. Each check goes in your notes with a date. If a monitor stays empty, we stop, and we don't treat.

  • A check visit is booked before we leave

  • You get the notes by email

  • Monitors come out when the work is done

Step 4

Treat: only what is left, only where it is

If monitoring shows the pests are still active, we choose the least-toxic option where it works and place it only where they are. A licensed applicator follows the label.

  • The product name and label, on request, before the visit

  • Where to keep children and pets away, and for how long, written down

  • No calendar spraying when nothing is active

Before we come, and after we leave

  • Before the visit

A little preparation makes the first visit shorter.

    • Clear the area under sinks and along the walls where you saw activity

    • Put pet food and birdseed in sealed containers

    • Write down where and when you noticed it, or text a photo

  • After the visit

What happens next is in your notes, with dates.

    • Leave monitors where they are until the check visit

    • Fix or report the damp spots on the list

    • Text us if anything changes before the check
