Questions about pest control, answered plainly

If yours isn't here, text it and a person will answer on the next business day.

How much does pest control cost?

It depends on the house, the pest and how much sealing is needed, so we don't print a price. The pricing page lists what moves the number, and you get it in writing before any work starts.

How often do I need service?

Most homes need a visit or two, then a check visit, and nothing after that until something changes. We don't sell a monthly plan. If your house has a repeating problem, such as a damp crawl space, we say so and suggest a seasonal check.

Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?

We can't call any treatment risk-free, and a product's label doesn't allow it. A licensed applicator follows the label, tells you where and for how long to keep children and pets away, and sends the product name and label before the visit if you ask.

How long until I see results?

Most homes see less activity within a week or two, though it varies with the pest and the house. A few stragglers right after a visit are normal. We book a check visit so you aren't left guessing.

Do I need to be home?

For the first visit, yes, or someone you trust: we walk the house with you and show you what we find. For a check visit, we can work from a key code or a lockbox if you tell us where the pets are.

What if the pests come back?

If the pest we treated comes back in the same place within 60 days, we return and re-treat at no charge. It doesn't cover a pest we didn't treat, or a way in we told you to close that is still open. The terms are written on your quote before work starts.

Do you handle termites, bed bugs or wildlife?

No. They're separate work with their own methods, and sometimes their own permits. We'll tell you at the first call, and if we know a firm that does it well, we'll give you the name.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. You approve a written quote for a defined job. There's no yearly contract and no automatic renewal.

Where do you work, and when can you come?

We work in the Portland neighborhoods listed on the home page and the contact page. Visits are Monday to Friday during the day, and we give you an arrival window and the technician's name the day before.
